Topicals — Slick Salve Lip Balm in Açaí

One of my favorite lip products I have ever used. The color is a beautiful berry, and it hydrates quickly. I have bought 3 so far — two of the mint version for my wife (who also loves it) and the açaí for me. Worth the hype and the price, and after two months of consistent use there is still a sizable amount left. Doesn't leave a white residue on your lips.

Kayali — The Wedding Perfume (Silk Santal) · 1.5ml tester

A very mature, earthy, sweet smell. Almost like a musk, but more subtle. It reminds me of a loving embrace by an older woman. Not my scent of choice, but definitely a lovely one.

COSRX — Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser

I bought this not knowing it was the same one friends had been suggesting while I was in Korea — where it was an inexpensive buy even by American standards. It leaves skin feeling supple, hydrated, yet refreshed and clean. My go-to when my skin is acting up and needs a reset. Works great as the first step in cleansing.

Euthymol — Original (Whitening) Toothpaste

Really don't like this toothpaste, and I am at the point where I've used half the tube so I feel that's valid to say. The flavor is strong but too much to feel refreshing and doesn't last on the breath. It hasn't made my breath fresher nor my teeth whiter. Also, the tube is incredibly difficult to get product out of. One star for the toothpaste color itself being pink — which is probably not a good thing.

Topicals — Brightening & Cleansing Bar (2ct)

I bought this in November, it's now February and I am just now running thin on the 1st bar — two will last you approximately four months. I haven't noticed a marked improvement in skin clarity, but I also am not that attentive to hyperpigmentation — after all, I am Black. It has a slightly drying effect after scrubbing and carries no strong scent. Gets the job done (washing your body), but is not remarkable enough for me to run back for again and again.

Pacha Soap Co. — 'The Hot Spring' Candle

A remarkably disappointing candle experience! Picked this up at Whole Foods because it smelled divine and reminded me of my time abroad in spas in Asia. The candle had little to no scent when lit.

02/05 Edit: Okay, it actually does have a scent, but it is veryyyyy subtle. You have to walk out of the room and walk back in to really get the effect.

So.Natural — All Day Tight Make Up Setting Fixer

Fair warning: my makeup is never transfer-proof, so if that's your metric, wrong place. What I can say: I love the mist and it has no strange or strong alcohol smell. I picked up two in Korea in July 2025 and am almost done with the first (the second was defective). A decent fixing spray — leaves your skin dewy as you blend products but dries down almost airbrushed.

Kayali — Vanilla Candy Perfume (Rock Sugar) · 1.5ml tester

The immediate favorite of all the testers I purchased — right out the box. It has a sweet vanilla candy scent, just like it states, and blends out wonderfully on my skin. Mellow, not overly sugary, my go-to when I want vanilla and a little something more.

Beauty of Joseon — Daily Tinted Fluid Sunscreen

My favorite tinted sunscreen — also the only one I've currently tried. It blends beautifully, provides great coverage, and hasn't broken me out. Just not transfer-proof unless you set it (and even then, eh).

Numbuzin — Pantothenic B5 Active Soothing Cream

One of the most hydrating and clarifying moisturizers I have ever used. You could tell I was scraping the pot. I bought this in South Korea after really enjoying a face mask by this brand. Money well spent.
